Garry Lea
Managing Director
Garry Lea is our Managing Director.
He has over 15 years experience within the Telecommunications industry, having previously worked in the position of a Service Delivery Engineer/Ethernet Fibre Engineer and a large scale project manager before founding GL Telecoms back in 2018.
Garry believes that providing opportunities and opening doors for people should always set the foundation of business.
He prides himself on building a business based upon integrity and providing equal opportunities; a safe space for the employees to voice their thoughts and opinions.
Garry is the cornerstone of the business, bringing an unrivalled energy to the team and embodies our mission statement of doing better every day.
Jayne McAteer
Managing Director
Jayne McAteer is our Managing Director.
Jayne has 20 years’ experience in the challenging Telecoms and Utilities sector and prides herself on clear communication, strategic thinking and trust.
Over the last two decades she has developed specific experience of the repair, maintenance, and construction of large-scale infrastructure roll outs across the UK.
Jayne manages to retain an absolute focus on safety and Industry leading service delivery in order to achieve sustainable business growth and improvement through collaboration, innovation, and authentic leadership.
She is an essential cog in the GL Telecoms wheel, constantly demonstrating her passion for our people, ensuring they’re happy, safe and feel valued…all with a wicked sense of humour.
Nicola Lea
Service Support Director
Nicola Lea is our Service Support Director
Nicola has a background in Telecommunications as a copper/MI/SI engineer, and her firsthand experience and industry knowledge have been invaluable in fostering strong relationships with our engineers.
Since joining us when we launched in 2018, she has emerged as a much-loved key player and now oversees the business arm of GL Telecoms.
Her responsibilities include ensuring compliance, taking care of engineers’ well-being, aligning with environmental standards, and ensuring financial and commercial alignment.
Nicola’s multifaceted role underscores her commitment to the overall success of GL Telecoms, where her firm but fair leadership ensures that every aspect of the business operates smoothly and in accordance with our values and objectives.
James Gildea
Operations and Business Development Director
James Gildea is our Operations and Business Development Director.
He joined GL Telecoms as a trainee fibre engineer in 2018 and has gone on to play a pivotal role in scaling up and transforming our company.
In his day to day role, James oversees operations, enhances client relationships, drives growth initiatives and implements his own build models for clients to cement our status as market leaders.
His deep understanding of the industry, our services and our ethos also makes him the perfect fit for dealing with tendering and bid work.
James is known for his people-first leadership style, engaging with staff daily to foster a supportive work environment and drive success -all done with a big smile, positive outlook and great sense of humour.
Kevin Daley
Head of Commercials
Kevin Daley is our Head of Commercials.
He brings over 27 years of telecoms industry experience to GL Telecoms, where he oversees the day-to-day operations and ensures alignment of commercial activities with clients and engineers.
His expertise spans implementation, installation, and project management across various technologies like Fixed Line, Power, Mobile, Infrastructure, and Fibre Broadband.
Kevin emphasises the importance of open communication and building a strong team culture as essential components to our ongoing success.
There’s never a dull day when Kev is around, and his warm nature and sense of humour energises the team on a daily basis.
